Keeping your family safe shouldn’t mean compromising on airflow, natural light or the look of your home. BasiX Fall Prevention Screens are a smart, affordable solution designed to reduce the risk of falls from windows, especially in multi-storey homes and apartments. At Enhanced Security & Shutters, we supply and install BasiX screens across the Gold Coast and Logan area, helping families meet safety requirements while maintaining a modern, open feel throughout their home.
BasiX screens are purpose built fall prevention window screens that act as a strong barrier across openable windows. They’re designed to prevent accidental falls without fully enclosing the space or blocking ventilation, and are ideal for homes with young children, rental properties, apartments, and buildings where windows are positioned above ground level. They are compliant with Australian fall-prevention standards and align with “Kids Don’t Fly” safety requirements, giving you peace of mind without turning your windows into cages.
These screens are manufactured using 0.7mm 316 marine-grade stainless steel woven mesh, making them strong, durable, and suitable for coastal conditions. This premium material offers excellent resistance to corrosion, scratching and general wear making them perfect for homes on the Gold Coast where salt air and humidity are a constant factor.
Despite their strength, the mesh features a high open area, allowing fresh air and natural light to flow freely. You still get breezes, visibility, and comfort just with an added layer of protection.
BasiX screens are a popular choice for families and property owners because they strike the right balance between safety, cost and appearance.
Every home is different, which is why BasiX screens are custom made to fit your windows perfectly. They’re available in a range of colours and configurations, allowing them to blend seamlessly with your existing frames and finishes. The slim, modern design ensures the screens look neat and unobtrusive—adding safety without drawing attention to themselves.
We handle everything from measure to installation, ensuring every screen is fitted correctly and securely. We take the time to assess your home, explain your options clearly, and recommend the most suitable solution based on your needs and budget.
